Job Description:

            Full time helicopter of Bell 407 for charters, medical transport, and sightseeing tours; on demand availability 24/7 (shared). Aircraft based on company’s heliport in downtown Baltimore, MD. May be required to temporarily (up to a week) perform charter operations in other locations. Employer prefers pilot to reside within one hour of heliport.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.  Ensure participation in all policies, procedures, and regulations of the FAA and Baltimore Helicopter Services by all personnel, in addition to oneself.

2.  Safely and efficiently transport all goods and/or passengers in a timely manner.

3.  Responsible for determining the safety of the aircraft as well as the appropriate conditions for safe travel. Inform clients of unfavorable conditions that affect the comfort of the flight or of any delays.

4.  Ensure the safety and security of the aircraft at all times.

5.  Keep Chief Pilot, Chief Operating Officer and scheduler informed of the aircraft status and any changes or expected changes in aircraft.

6.  Maintain individual availability in a timely manner for requested flights.

7.  Maintain a professional image at all times.

8.  Ensure the aircraft is properly serviced and clean inside and out.

9.  Work in cooperation with all personnel of Baltimore Helicopter Services.

10.  Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot and/or Chief Operating Officer.

11. Ensure that the operation of the aircraft is compliant with company and regulatory guidelines.           

12. Maintain and encourage a safety conscious environment at all times; report any errors and unsafe actions/conditions to Chief Pilot and/or the Chief Operating Officer.

 

Qualifications:

Current Commercial w/ Rotorcraft Rating

Second Class Medical

3000 hrs PIC

2000 hrs Turbine

100 hrs in the Bell 407

Preference given to individuals with:

Instrument Rating

CFI

1 yr Part 135 experience

            Bell 430 experience a plus
