My son and I drove from eastern NC and camped out.  I gave two of my "High Flight and John Magee" presentations at the Museum.  Got to meet and get a signed autography of Cliff Robertson... so sad to hear of his passing.  Passed by the Hanger Chat booth many times, never had time to stop!  Other than an excess of mud in the camping area, had a wonderful time!

Hello all!  This year was my first visit to Oshkosh and it truly was everything I heard and more.  I had a blast and was amazed how quickly the time went.  I arrived on the Monday afternoon and flew back home to Toronto on Sunday evening (commercial).

Did I enjoy myself?  Let's just mention that I've already booked a hotel for next year.  In Oshkosh instead of Green Bay (where I was this year) so I can spend more time seeing the sights, meeting the people and having the time of my life.

If anyone's interested, my Oshkosh pictures are all available at Flickr

Kirk Wooster, Woodstock, Ga. EAA warbirds Line Crew for 7 yrs. Been going to Osh. since 84, off & on. Did film for museun theater I helped design in 1985, featured, Concord, Voyager,Warbirds, Eagles Areobatic Team and all other aircraft. This year met Sergei Sikorsky and D*** Rutan again. Glad to see a greater helicopter presence.

I have been attending since '85 on and off.  Made the trip almost every years since 2000 with my oldest son (now 19 was 4 first time he went).  We camp (most years) and have made lots of friends and have met a ton of folks from all over the world.  This year we rented a house so my parents could attend (in their early 80's so camping was not to interesting to them).  However we missed being on site ... for the full Oshkosh experience!  Still made a few nights to Fly In theater.

Hello everyone. My name is Vincent Guérin, I'm the Community Manager of Pratt & Whitney Canada for the PT6 Nation, a dedicated community to the PT6 fans, operators and pilots.

This year, the PT6 Nation was very active during Oshkosh 2011. We took a lot of pictures that I'd like to share with you. Connect with us on Facebook to see all the Oshkosh pictures.

Also, we wrote some articles about Oshkosh on our dedicated microsite, the PT6 Nation. Take a look, join the Nation and share with us any PT6-related story! We want to hear them!

Oh! Finally, I'd like to know something: did you see our new proudly PT6 campaign? What do you think about it?

Best regards,

Vincent.

This was my seventh or eighth time to go to Airventure. I had the opportunity to talk to Ken Griffey Jr. for about an hour at the Cirrus display on Sunday. I'm not a big baseball fan but he was a great guy to talk to and is very down to earth. I ran the 5K with my son on Saturday morning and was sacked out in the camper by Saturday afternoon from heat exposure. I guess I'm not as young as I used to be.

Makes 3rd time for me @ OSH. Last two times with my dad. Not able to attend this time due to medical problems. I hope he can regain greater muscle activity for a future trip. As always more than one can see even in one week pounding pavent HARD. Was able to catch guess talk of Bob Hoover and Brig Gen Yeager @ Eagle Hanger...and was able to attend some workshops in various skills needed A/C assembly. Hauled off a ton of material that was handed out by the venodrs...now to sort through it ...   O.o

This was my first Airventure, although my husband has been there several times. We were there to make connections and seek sponsors for WorldFlyers' world record circumpolar flight attempt this fall. It is by far the largest trade show/conference I've ever seen! Didn't get nearly enough time to walk around and see the aircraft.
