Hello I'm R. Viveshsan. I'm from Malaysia and I'm currently working for Maritime Malaysia under the air force. I've got my type rating and I'm also currently working on the Bombardier CL 415. I did B1.1 and B1.2 diploma and licensing course at Aviation Australia. I started on the year 2011. I've got 2 more papers left to do module 7 B2 and module 17 B1. I could not do my OJT as my attendance was only 78%. I really need to know what's my next step of action. I really hope you guys could help me out.

Hi, ladies and gentlemen!

I've just joined the group and you will have to forgive me for doing this just asking for something... I am a young student of aircraft avionics maintenance in Madrid, Spain so I would like to ask you about if in the USA the maintenance technician duty is not divided between electronic and mechanic branch's. If you already know the European regulations (EASA) (where the line certification requires a B1 (Mechanical) or B2 (Avionics) license)... Could you explain about the differences with the FAA regulations. Thank you so much for your time!

Hi everybody!

I'm new to the A&P world, but I've been working in military aviation since 1992. I thought I would sign up here and read what the experienced guys can tell me.

Well, I have to tell all of you that for the most part I met a lot of great people at OSH'11.  However, I was burned by a few snub nose, arrogant pilots.  My fault to sort out everyone as being less than kind over a few bad apples.  Nonetheless, I am on track to begin A&P training on the 22nd of this month and I am excited that in 16 month sI will join some of you in the workforce.

I have been a pilot for some 53 years, an A&P for 6 years, an IA for 3 years and to Oshkosh for 16 years.  As you can see I am new to the A&P world.  I have had nothing but great experiences at Oshkosh AirVenture and found everyone I meet to be great folks and very interesting from all over the world.  I am sorry you had a bad experience, Tommy.  I hope you will go back next year and meet some of the good folks.

As an A&P mechanic with an Inspection Authorization and over 30 years of experience, I would like to help anyone that needs some direction in regards to the regulations, good record-keeping including logbook entries or maintenance questions, although most of my background is related to corporate and airlines. I appreciate this group starting where we can all help each other as A&P mechanic. In regards to Oshkosh, this was my first year but certainly coming back next year. I loved it!Loop Aerospace
