The 75th anniversary of Piper this year. There is a Piper fly-in at Vero Airport at the old Piper Factory. Must register if flying
WHPA is also having their annual fly-in tomorrow. Winter haven airport (KGIF). They serve lunch at 11:30am. South side of the airport under the trees.
Beautiful weather for flying!

Hi Kent,

We are here, just not as often as I would like!  Great to hear you are flying your Stearman.   They are addicting!  We tell people that come to fly with us for training or a ride, if they are thinking they might want one, that they will definitely once they fly it.

Packing can be tricky with cockpit cover, tools, oil and limited weight.  Clothing wise is easy...Stearman t-shirts!

Unfortunately we cannot make it this year.  Have a great time.

Is anyone still on the Stearman group here? Hope everyone is doing well and getting a lot of flying in this summer. We are making plans for Blakesburg and Galesburg. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to pack a Stearman to live out of it for a week? Look forward to hearing from everyone.

Hope everyone is having a great summer. We flew our Stearman for the first time almost two months ago. It flies like a dream. I will try to get some pictures posted soon. We are making plans for Galesburg. Is anyone else planning on going?

We have been having great Stearman weather. Makes me wish we had ours flying. Hope everyone else is getting some quality Stearman time this spring. Would enjoy hearing hearing from fellow Stearman people.

We made a huge step forward on the project this weekend. The Lycoming R-680 came to life after about four revolutions and ran like a well oiled machine. We had to tweak the carb slightly. Now it should run like a top. Hopefully, we will be able to get in the air sometime next month. Hope the rest of the Stearman group is doing well.
