Lets Fly to the Islands of the Bahamas with Mark Griffin
 
Please join us for this free event geared toward pilots who want to learn more about flying to the Bahamas. There will be information both on the procedural aspects of your trip as well as the places to see and things to do once you’re in the islands. If you have ever dreamed of island flying then this event will helpgive you the knowledge and the confidence to make your trip safely. Mark Griffin, FAA Examiner for the North Florida FSDO has traveled to the Bahamas during the Christmas Holiday for several years. Learn the ease and enjoyment of flying to the Islands with an expert. Mark Griffin has been a pilot since 1982 and instructing since 1988. He holds ATP ratings in Airplane Single Engine Land and Multi-Engine Land aircraft. Mark has been an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner since 1992. Past experience also includes instruction in the American Bonanza Society and Mooney Aircraft Safety Foundation, as well as experience in technically advanced aircraft as a Cirrus Standardized Instructor.
 
Preflighting Your Passengers for Overwater Flight. with Amy Laboda
 
The presentation is about pre-flighting your passenger so that he/she can become an asset in the cockpit in the case of an emergency ditching She does relate to interesting personal events involving an actual ditching to make a point in the presentation. Amy Laboda was an Aviation Safety Counselor for more than 5 years. She now works with the FAA Safety Team, FAASTeam as a Lead Representative in Southern Florida. She is an active CFI and typically does FAA Wings Safety Seminars in SW Florida and around the U.S. She is also a professional writer and editor and teaches safety through her columns with Kitplanes Magazine and Aviation for Women. Amy works with the FAA Production Studios and is a host at numerous remote shoots. She is a regular host on Managing Safety Radio show and is currently the Editor in Chief of Aviation for Women magazine .
