On Wednesday, February 6, 2013 the Airport will host an Emergency Training Exercise on the field. The Airport is required to hold this exercise triennially. This drill will enable the airport and first responders from all over Polk County to exercise their emergency plans. Gate 1 is the dedicated staging area for off-airport responders and will not be available for tenant use during the drill. To enhance safety during the drill the following closures will be in effect.

From 6AM until 12 noon on Wednesday, February 6, 2013:
• Taxiway B closed between Taxiway A and B2
• Taxiway C closed between Runway 23 and 27
• Runway 5-23 will remain closed

Ingress and egress for the following hangars will be restricted during this time:
• Florida Aero Services
• Legal Airways
• Mac Avionics
