iPad is a growing tool in many cockpits
More commercial and private pilots are turning to iPads to help make flights easier and cut down on paper clutter. Applications on the iPad cover topics such as security, preflight planning and charting, radar, meteorology and crew-rest calculation, and they also make flight manuals available electronically. - From Av eBrief Aug 19, 2011

Yes! Oshkosh was full of vendors for Software, hardware and kneeboards for the iPad. It is to the point that you can now get a full package for under $1,000 where a Garmin 696 is about $2,200 and the service is a lot more than for the iPad to update carts, A/FD's and plates. Now there is inflight weather using ADS-B or XM Weather. Pretty amazing stuff. I enjoyed the demo of an upcoming app from iFlightPlanner.com

Appears to be a lot of talk about using the Ipad for approach plates and basic nav.
