The move to Lakeland will increase the Wing’s office space and encourage a closer relationship with Florida’s General Aviation community. "Lakeland is the capitol of General Aviation in the Southeast United States. The annual Sun ‘n Fun Fly-in is a Mecca for aviation enthusiasts," said Lt. Tyler Lahnen, the Wing’s Director of Public Affairs.

The ceremony will be held at the pavilion at 10:00 AM. Guests of honor include the Wing Commander, Col. Michael Cook, and several high-ranking Civil Air Patrol Officers.
