Learn more about the Flying Musicians Association, Inc (FMA). from a few of our nearly 500 members on EAA Radio during EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, WI.
FMA, founded in 2009, is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization for pilots who are also musicians that welcomes all proficiency levels and musical genres. The skills required to play an instrument and fly an aircraft have marked similarities, from precision and multitasking to listening and fine motor skills. By educating others about these common attributes, we hope to further interest in both. The goal is to share our passions in order to inspire, educate, and encourage through performances, presentations, and scholarships.
Musician: A person who writes, sings or plays music.
