Business Airport World Expo moved this year to Cannes from its original home at Farnborough. The move to the glamorous destination of Cannes while offering a much nicer setting didn’t necessarily offer the same business opportunities. Although it was an excellent opportunity for Adrian Phil and Ash to meet up with some old friends and talk to fellow exhibitors.
The guys were joined on their stand by Willy Vanhamel and Dan Nevejans from Aerotecs, their partner in France and Belgium. The guys also had another stand representing the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Aviation Exhibition.
Although the show did not mirror the success of 2011 it did still offer some excellent opportunities. Adrian had the opportunity to rekindle his business partnership with Werner Zaugler from Flyertruck, were it was agreed that Red Box would add the Flyertruck C200 and C250 models to the range of aircraft tugs currently available.
Adrian Ash and Phil would like to thank Alexandra and the team at Romanian Airport Services for their superb hospitality at the end of each day, helping to inject some fun into the event.
We look forward to seeing the Business Airport World Expo back at its original home at Farnborough in 2013.
We wont be at Goodwood in person this year - and yes was worth every penny to have the unit on hand!!
Hi Adam - It just goes to show, it only takes one time and the unit is worth every penny (or dollar for the Americans) :-). Glad it did the job.
Are you guys coming over to the Goodwood Festival Of Speed Aviation Exhibition this year?
I hope to be at Sun n Fun, will know in the next couple of days
I used my redbox unit the other day when it was very cold and the battery wouldnt start the aircraft - so glad I had it as the FBO didnt have a power cart - I would have been stuck without it!
Lets see if you guys behave at Sun N Fun this year!!
We always behave ourselves when representing our illustrious company :-)
The amount of amps varied during the day depending which equipment Agusta switched on. It ranged between 13 - 63 amps
We allways behave, especially when we are repersenting the company :-)
You would need to ask them if they behaved themselves!!!
A few good nights out??…….. did they behave their selves for a change?
Phil – how many amps did each aircraft pull during the show?
This year Phil and Ash were lucky enough to attended the Heli Expo in Dallas from the 12th – 14th February. The show attracted over 19,000 attendees providing new contacts and business leads for all.
While at HAI the guys saw some of our agents including Tony Marsters of Aeromarsters who was there with one of his partners from New Zealand. Justin Akinleye from Eagle Tugs and Yongwoon Chun of Pilot Shop Co, Inc were spotted in attendance walking the floor as was Sanjay Malhotia from Jubilant Enpro who the guys from Red Box got to enjoy some time with.
Elwin Rozendaal of ADS&Co and Roberto and Tommaso Trisoglio from Sipael both had stands enabling Phil to see a few of his old contacts, and Ash to make some new friends in his new role as Sales Manager.
Red Box were proud to provide ground power to the Agusta Westland stand which was coordinated through Licia Maria Bianchi to demonstrate the aircrafts capabilities to their customers, while allowing the guys an opportunity to appreciate the aircraft.
The trip wasn’t all work as Johnny Cruz from Priceless Aviation Products our partners in the USA, treated the guys to a few good nights out after the busy days!!!
