Basically I’m a lazy drummer with much time on his hands. Picked up the flute because the piano is too heavy I also play the sax and clarinet, but seem to play guitar and sing most of the time. Besides being part of the Island Community Chorus, NAACP Choir, and the Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center Choir, sing and play drums in a Boston based R&B band, “The Kool Rayz”, and drums in an oldies band here on the island called,” The Oldies Band” (creative, eh? ). Other than that I’m playing guitar and singing in “The Newgrass Boys” (Not Your Father’s Bluegrass); and the occasional wedding band gig.

Took 5 years, six CFI’s 70 hours and 63 canceled departure dates to get my ticket in 2009 and did it all in a desperately ratty looking 1963 Cessna Skyhawk doing pattern work over the ocean onto a grass airfield. But I’m over 200 hours now and babysit a beautiful 1965 Cherokee 180 with Horton stall kit and constant speed prop.
