On June 29th, 2011 at Ellington AFB in Houston, Texas, we boarded a refurbished Boeing - 727 freighter aircraft for our NASA Reduced Gravity Flight (formerly known as the Vomit-Comet flights).  Note, this aircraft still has a flght engineer station and flight engineer!  Experiencing microgravity (weightlessness) while essentially in a free-fall from 34,000 ft to 24,000 ft - 32 times was an amazing experience.  Fortunately a flight MD provided meds so there was no air or motion sickness.  If our modified experiment is approved by NASA, we may get to fly again next summer - who knows!   My next goal however is to fly on a USAF WC-130 Hurricane Hunter into a Hurricane. :-)
