If you're looking for a great little aviation-themed restaurant and are in the south-central PA area check out the Chester Co. Carlson (KMQS) airport in Coatsville, PA. They have one long, nice, paved runway with parking right across from the restaurant entrance. No landing fees at all and the food is pretty good. Great little lunch or even dinner spot AirNav:KMQS
Marathon Key, FL - if heading down to Key West - The Island Fish Company has an FAA approved Heliport located at Northern tip of the property. The coordinates are N24° 43.991, W81° 01.156. One mile East of the airport on the north side of US1. The heliport is first come, first served.
Food is ok - usual burgers etc but also they have fresh fish salads etc - open from b'fast all day. The setting makes it a good place - dine right on the water and having the heliport makes it super convenient for heli pilots.
Best burger in the Caribbean? @ MacDuff's Beach bar&grill on Norman's Cay, Bahamas. Just next to the landing strip.
You bet Adam. You may also want to check the forum on here for Bahamas flying tips.
Check out Chat 'N' Chill in Exuma(Stocking Island). Chat 'N' Chill The freshest conch salad in the Bahamas. You can feed their pet stingray as well.
Bimini Beach Club(Bimini, of course) has an amazing chef and food! Stuffed lobster tail was incredible. I stayed at Green Turtle Resort and Club (Green Turtle Cay, Abaco) and we put our dinner order in around lunch time before we went exploring. We came back and had a great dinner. The next morning I had a Breakfast Sandwich made with homemade bread, Bacon, Fried Egg, Lettuce, and Tomato. I am still trying to recreate it a year later... There is a fly-in for Halloween so they may be all booked up. Bahamas Fly-ins
If you go to Freeport stop by the Our Lucaya Resort and there is a beach shack right on the beach run by a local that has fresh conch salad, sea food, and a pretty tasty hamburger. It is on the resort property but it isn't part of the resort. Bring cash, no card accepted.
