KTMB is one of the busiest general aviation airports in Florida, serving corporate, recreational, flight training, and governmental agency activities. It's just 15 minutes from the business centers of South Miami-Dade County.

As a reliever to Miami International Airport, its location also provides fast and easy access to the Florida Turnpike, Ocean Reef, the Florida Keys as well as the recreational and business activities in Miami and Miami Beach. The airport provides modern, efficient and professionally staffed FBO facilities serving the expanding corporate and business interests of South Florida.

Also, Kendall-Tamiami is home to Miami's Automated International Flight Service Station.

Comment by Nick Martinez on November 8, 2011 at 6:27pm: Michael there is also a great sub shop on 120th street and around 142nd avenue called Tamiami Subs, best sub shop in the kendall area! Give the Garlic Steak Sub a try, the girls that work there will agree!

Sergio's (Cuban restaurant), there is a new one (i don't remember the name) Mediterranean cuisine. Right at the airport there is a small cafe with Latin/Caribbean food. I recommend to try the Mediterranean.
