Another "thank you," to the Ocean Instructors for getting me through my Instrument Rating; Tyler, Adam, and Mike B especially.

Finally, the winds have calmed down in West Palm Beach after 3 weeks of blowing hard.

@Carl, well the college is a great way to get your Professional Pilot training and get a degree.  You can do student financing with them and it is a 2 year degree, they also work with the Vet's so they can use the Post9/11 or GI Bill benefits too, it is a great option and way to gain your training. Contact them and they will get you started!!

I originally started looking into the aeronautical science program at Embry Riddle, but A.) it's extremely expensive, B.)it takes all 4 years to obtain your ratings, and C.) apparently a bunch of the students don't like their experience there? I've started to look into Palm Beach State with their two year degree and it looks like you can get all your ratings in a little over a year with them. What else can you guys tell me about it??

Carl, yes it probably was us!!  We fly the beach all the time.  Have you looked into the community college here (Palm Beach State College) they offer a aeronautical sciences program where you gain a degree and get your pilots training along with the degree?  We have many students that do this!! Let me know if  you need more information...

Hello Ocean Helicopters,

I'm from Columbus, OH, however my grandmother lives in Ft. Lauderdale, and i'm almost positive that it was Ocean Helicopters that kept my eyes glued to the sky when I was there for the summer! I'm a junior in high school, and currently trying to devise a plan for college, as well as obtaining all the flight ratings I can for a career in aviation. I look forward to gaining all the insight I can!

Congrats to Tamer Ellaithy for passing his CPL check-ride!!! Tamer will now be flying the Bell 212 in Egypt in support of off-shore oil drilling.
