Hello all! We will be newbies camping at Camp Scholler during Airventure this year and have pre-purchased camping. I wondered if any of you have experience camping there? There is no phone number to call to ask questions and I understand there are limited electric hook-up sites. I also understand that these sites are assigned on a first come, first serve basis. I wondered how early one has to arrive in order to stand a good chance of snagging one of those sites.
I look forward to some input!
Thanks!

Hi Daniela -- you're in for a treat. I've camped at Oshkosh for the last 10 years and have always enjoyed it! It's a great place for the whole family.
Yes, as you note, all spaces are on a first come, first served basis. In order to get close to our "regular" spot, one member of our group shows up a week to 10 days prior to reserve a spot -- and sometimes that's late and we get a less desirable spot. Note: you will have to pay for those "extra" days prior to the show. We don't use elec. But I would suspect that those slots would be even harder to get -- but I might be wrong. It maybe worthwhile to invest in a small generator if you need the power -- wold open up some more opportunities (note: not all camping areas are open to generators, and some areas have generator "quiet hours" and some allow 24 hour generator operation).
Best of luck -- and don't hesitate to reach out if you have more questions.
See you at the Show!

Thank you Brian! I appreciate your tips. We will be exhibitors at Airventure, so we will certainly need to arrive a few days early to get our booth set-up anyway. I've already pre-paid for camping, which I heard helps get you through the door faster, so maybe that will help also. We look forward to our time at Oshkosh!!! If you have a chance stop by our booth and say hello, we will be in Booth 32 showing our Light Sport Aircraft manufactured by Rainbow SkyReach. We have a new model called the BushCat! Look for the Zebra striped plane!
Have a great summer!
Daniela
