It was my first Airventure. Although I needed to be at the AvPad booth most of the time, I did get a chance to walk around a little. I was amazed as the size of the event, especially after attending SnF, also for the first time, this past March.

We had a blast and I'm looking forward to it again next year!

There is some much of Oshkosh that we enjoy, it is hard to share the complete adventure.  We flew out in our C172 from NJ.  This, being posted by my wife...

Although we have weather on our aircraft, which is great, we always seem to have to stop our trip at some point and spend the night.  Our first stop, the local FBO open their doors, as they were leaving for the day, and let us have refuge in their facility that included at nice couch with a TV, a computer room with access to serf the net, and great lounge chairs in another room to relax and sleep.   The storms stayed through the evening and so did we.   We had a place to camp and stay dry.  We had forgotten our Oshkosh notam, and were able to print it out on their computer. Ahh, so great.  Slept in the lounge chairs, and were refreshed to start again early in the morning.  We left a thank you note and money donation before departing.  We were back in the air around 8 AM.  The view was great, as the fog was lifting in the valleys and were on our way to our next part of our Oshkosh Adventure....the rest of the flight, the camping, the show, and the return back home.  We had a great time and it's always different, everytime we attend Oshkosh!

We had a great time this year at Oshkosh. It was a hot and busy week promoting two of our films, The Restorers - They Were All Volunteers and Red Tail Reborn that played at the museum. Plus, we debuted the Red Tail Squadron's IMAX like film "Rise Above" that was in ConocoPhillips Plaza. Can't wait for next year!

I had an awesome time at Airventure 2011. While this was my second time visiting, it was my first time flying in!!

I flew in my X Air Ultralight from Ontario, Canada through Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Wisonsin for about 12 hours over 2 days. Landing on the ultralight strip with so many people watching was a bit unnerving but I am glad I nailed the landing!

While at OSH, I did visit the HangerChat booth and had the opportunity to speak with some lovely ladies. I believe the HangerChat team is doing a great job and I wish you all the very best.

My trip home took me through northern Michigan. I left OSH on Friday, July 29 in the evening at about 1800CDT and flew for a couple of hours to MNM (Menominee) where I spent the night. I resumed my journey the next day at about 0800 CDT and flew for more than 7 hours to my home airport - CPG7 (Juergenson Field) in Ontario, Canada. Fuelling stops along the way included ESC (Escanaba), ISC (Manistique) and CIU (Chippewa) before crossing the border in to Canada and landing at YZE (Gore-Bay Manitoulin) for customs and immigration.

The flight between CIU and YZE was mostly over water, which was a little unnerving at first before I settled in. I flew at 5000ft all along. Although it was cold, I got the best tailwinds at this height. I flew the last leg between YZE and my home airstrip (CPG7) non-stop! It was nice to see familiar surroundings and my family and fellow pilots when I landed.

All in all, it was the most wonderful trip that I have made in my X Air.

The airplane (X Air Standard) and engine (HKS700e) performed flawlessly along the entire trip. I burnt 100LL and changed oil at OSH.

Had a blast but our visit was short - only two days. Wife's first time and I think she enjoyed herself too.

We had a great time touring the grounds. The warbirds are our favorites.

This is mine and my wife’s 4th year for volunteering at the war birds. We work in the kitchen there and had a great time. I think it's out 24 year to attend but we never helped out before.. More fun to help and be a part of something so big. I am a CFII and have owned 5 different air planes and to go to Air Venture

Oshkosh is still the greatest event of the year to attend. We are going to go to sun and fun next year too.
