Victoria Rahming said… For the U.S. Certified Flight Instructor-Airplane, it's a Commercial Pilot certificate with an Instrument-Airplane rating, two knowledge test (computerized written exams), and then training to proficiency for the practical test... in many locations, the practical test must be taken with an FAA inspector, rather than with a designated examiner.

You need 150 hours of flight time for your helicopter commercial certificate, pass a written exam and a practical test. Plus some night flying and some cross-country time. That is the FAA requirements and can be found in part 61 of the FAR. Not sure the requirements for England but there are a lot of flight schools in the US where you can get a Visa to learn how to fly here.
