I’m happy to see that we have thirteen members of hangarchat who loves flying. How could this group not be thousands strong? I’ll admit that during my forty years in aviation there were some days when I loved it much more than others, but each challenge was a reward in its self. Aviation taught me to dream big and each achievement gave me the confidence to set a higher goal. When I soloed a Cessna 150, I felt like Leanardo De Caprio on the bow of the Titanic, King of the World. The Cessna was my first love, but there were many others; Pipers, Beechcraft, Mooneys, light twins, Boeing, Douglas, and Lockheed. I loved them all unconditionally and treated them with the greatest respect, even though they occasionally chose to humiliate me. I’m happy to share the sky and the internet with others who love to fly. May each of you dream big.
