Larry Graff advises: Our FAN Photographers should upload to their indivual Dropboxs. When we are doing "dailies" with multiple photographers in a rush - things get confused. Please use caution and check your cameras' file-numbering/naming. One setting resets to zero whenever card is removed/replaced. TURN THIS OFF. If you find a setting for "Custom" use this to add your initials in place of DSC o...

r other default prefixes. As with my other camera bodies customization is not possible and we need to substitute our initials in a first operation after downloading. Also please check camera for correct date and time. This really helps find and keep images.

More effort is needd by the librarian or shooter to add metadata keywords such as "F-16", "Thunderbirds", "B-29", etc. typical of flying by the seat of our pants, in spirit with the event.

Huerta's Nomination Moves Forward in Senate

Last week, the Senate Commerce, Science & Transportation Committee approved the
nomination of FAA Acting Administrator Michael Huerta for a five-year term as
administrator of the agency. When President Obama nominated Huerta, NBAA urged
the Senate to confirm him. "In his work at the FAA, Michael Huerta has
demonstrated strong leadership and a solid understanding of the industry's
priorities, including the need for continued transformation to a Next Generation
Air Traffic Control System, which will produce safety and efficiency gains in
America's aviation system," NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen said at the time.
Huerta's nomination still needs the full Senate's approval, and the timing for
that remains unclear.
